Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith’s 2 Friends Tour will stop in Fort Wayne when they take the stage at 8 p.m. Nov. 17 at Embassy Theatre, 121 W. Jefferson Blvd.

The two first toured together in 1982, when Smith played keyboards for Grant. Smith went on to launch his own career, and between them they now have won nine Grammy Awards and sold more than 47 millin albums.

Grant’s music includes hits such as “El Shaddai,” “Sing Your Praise to the Lord,” “Lead Me On,” “Stay for Awhile,” “That’s What Love Is For” and “Father’s Eyes,” as well as pop crossover hits “Every Heartbeat,” “Baby Baby” and “Simple Things.”

Grant is currently working on a new album between concert dates with Smith and her singer husband, Vince Gill.

Smith’s music includes hits such as “Place in this World,” “I Will Be Here for You,” “Friends” and “Signs.”

His newest album, “Glory,” which is scheduled for release Nov. 22, is an instrumental album featuring “Whitaker’s Wonder,” “The Blessing,” “Forever” and “Heroes.”
