Christian artists put their own spin on some Yuletide favorites on “WOW Christmas.” This seasonal gem includes contributions from MercyMe, Jeremy Camp, Amy Grant, Newsboys, Chris Tomlin and more.

“Joy to the World” gets the standard treatment from Casting Crowns, as does “O Little Town of Bethlehem” from Steven Curtis Chapman. Staying true to his formula, TobyMac offers “Christmas This Year,” a fun tune that doesn’t shortchange the props for Jesus this season.

Swanky jazz flavor creeps in on Tenth Avenue North’s “Deck the Halls” and Natalie Grant’s “Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!” David Crowder Band, on the other hand, kicks up the rhythm on “The First Noel.”

One of the surprises on the disc is Mandisa’s soulful version of “Angels We Have Heard on High.” The remix is a welcome change.
